The purpose of this assignment was to create a port-manteau piece of furniture that has dual functionality. The corn hole companion table was created with the idea of maximizing outdoor space. The design is comprised of two regulation sized corn hole boards that are fully functional for game play, and even have a built in catcher for the bean bags. When stacked together, the two boards create a seamless coffee table with a sleek design on on the side, and its cornhole function becomes unnoticeable. This piece eliminates the need for a bulky, unattractive cornhole set while simultaneously solving the problem of having to move a coffee table in order for gameplay.
